About DotAGWA

A descripton of the DotAGWA project

The development of DotAGWA is intended to broaden AGWA’s potential user base to include anyone with a connection to the Internet. Specially designed components will enable local managers to evaluate the potential costs and benefits associated with management strategies and best management practices, and foster community involvement in environmental management. Relatively little scientific training and no specialized software will be required to make scientifically sound management decisions regarding complex spatially-dependent management activities such as livestock fencing strategies, locating watering points, the use of vegetative buffers around streams, and other common best management practices (BMPs). For the same reason it is also anticipated that DotAGWA will serve as an invaluable learning tool for students around the world.

The DotAGWA application is currently under development.
